MoM POWERS

PULSE TRANSMISSION

Normally, Pulse Transmission involves sending someone’s brainwaves into the cyberworld using a chair-like device ala the Matrix, creating a digital avatar from said brainwaves. In this world, Lan's able to do it without the chair, as long as the device is in the same general area he's in--not necessarily in arm's reach, but in his range of vision.

This power is more restrictive than many powers similar to it mainly due to Lan not sending his entire being into the digital world but rather just a mental avatar. He can only leave through the same device he entered, preventing him from using the power as a method of travel and potentially leaving him stuck if whatever he jumped into is destroyed or turned off. He can interact with digital structures and other digitized beings but is relatively defenseless if attacked.

Using this power renders his body unconscious until he's able to mentally return.

SYNCHRONIZATION (AKA SYNCHRO)

Currently and for the forseeable future, this only works between Lan and Megaman, because it's sort of a weird twin telepathy-type thing.

Canonly, it's basically a mental merge between a human Operator and a Navi, partially combining their consciousnesses (think 'two souls one body') and shortening the delay between a battle command and action taken. It's not difficult to achieve a high synchro level--simply by working together in battle, having a similar goal, following a planned strategy--but the closer you get to 100%, the more dangerous it becomes. The more in-sync a Navi and Operator are, the more damage 'bleeds' through to the human (e.g. a blade injury to the arm would result in an impressive bruise at about 80%, and an actual laceration around 97%)

In addition to the percentages, there are two named Synchro states, one being Full and the other being Perfect. Full is just a really high level of synchronization and Perfect is a complete consciousness merge.

In-game, this power operates a little differently than it does in canon, due to being able to be used in the real world, with effects depending on the level. Anything under Full (85-90%) just allows Lan and Mega to communicate mentally and coordinate movements with little effort, while Full would allow them to operate in sync with one another automatically. However, with the latter, all damage to Mega bleeds over to Lan (but not the other way around).

Perfect Synchro has a similar effect to Pulse Transmission in that it renders Lan unconscious, but it's more dangerous in that it syncs his brain entirely to Megaman's and causes his vitals to jump to dangerous levels, boosting Megaman's power in exchange.

SECURITY MANIPULATION

Allows Lan to identify a network or device's security measures and a clue to the means to get through or around it.

The higher the level of security, the more difficult it becomes for Lan to get through it. A simple password-protected file or area would pop up a password dialogue box, something lightly encrypted would appear as a durable wall or ask for a password plus a decryption code, and something heavily encrypted might be an unbreakable wall or a password that changes constantly. The nature of the power allows him to brute force a little in the form of password hints even where none would normally be given, which can range from easy to difficult depending on the strength of the security and that he must work out.

This power does not come with the inherent ability to modify all data, nor to copy it in any way, but Lan can view most files. It does come with, along with the ability to hack through other people's security, to create security of his own, of whatever level he chooses. This is also subject to the 'higher the level, the more difficult it is to do it'.

PERMISSIONS

If you'd like to let me know how you feel about Lan trying to hack into your stuff (assuming he needs to or finds it interesting), here is a small form to fill out, because I don't want to assume.
